These terms apply to your use of the AccountingMaps website. By using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What AccountingMaps is
AccountingMaps presents information about accounting, audit and the profession around the world as interactive maps, and lets professionals post and find business opportunities. The information is for general purposes only. It is not professional, legal, tax, investment or other advice, and it should not be relied on as such.
Accuracy of the information
We research the maps from public sources and use AI to help research, organise and summarise them. Despite our care, entries can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and some maps include estimates or judgement, which their notes describe (see our Methodology). Check the original sources before you rely on any information, especially for a professional or business decision. The site is provided "as is", without any guarantee.
Opportunities
- Listings are written by the people who post them. We review each one before it appears, but we don't verify what it says or vouch for the people involved, and a listing is not an endorsement.
- If you post a listing, you confirm that it is accurate, lawful and yours to share, and that you may act for the organisation you name.
- We may edit, decline or remove any listing, and listings come off the map after their closing date.
- We forward messages between visitors and posters, but we are not a party to any discussion or agreement between them. Make your own checks before entering into any deal.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- post anything unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringing, or anything you have no right to share
- send spam or use the contact forms for unsolicited marketing
- try to disrupt the site, get around its security or limits, or reach parts of it you are not meant to
- copy the site's datasets in bulk by automated means without our permission
Intellectual property
The site's design, maps and texts, and the way our datasets are compiled, belong to AccountingMaps. You are welcome to link to any page and to quote small parts with a credit to AccountingMaps. Facts and materials from third-party sources remain their owners'; follow the source links for their terms.
What you send us
When you send a listing, feedback or a suggestion, you allow us to use it to run and improve the site and, for an approved listing, to publish it on the site. How we handle personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Links to other websites
The maps link to many outside sources. We don't control those websites and are not responsible for their content or availability.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, AccountingMaps is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its information, including any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may change or discontinue parts of the site, and we may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed; using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
